Last month, I broke out all over both sides of my face. I have been dealing on and off with mild acne for almost 2 years now. I always have one or two pimples at all times. Last month I had a bad reaction to a foundation and broke out massively.
I was desperate for a quick fix, but on a tight budget. I was at Target and decided to grab this cleanser, along with the Deep Clean Gentle Scrub, and On the Spot Acne Treatment. After reading the description I knew it wasn't going to cure my acne. Still it sounded like it would be gentle enough for my sensitive skin. I also liked that it was oil free.
As soon as I used it I felt a strong tingling sensation, I freaked out because I tend to have allergic reactions to many products. However I later noticed that this contains Menthol, and many reviews said was the cause of the tingly feeling.The first time I used this it left my skin feeling so smooth! I have very dry skin, so this was a good sign. However the more I used it the drier my face became. Usually I stop using products if this occurs but I continued to use this because I noticed other improvements.
For the past month I have been using this and my pimples did go away, but I am not sure if it was because of this or other products. Since I have also been using Neutrogena On the Spot Acne Treatment. However I do know that it has improved my complexion!
Ever since last year I have had to cover up acne scars, from past breakouts. I hate that even when my face is clear, I still need heavy foundation due to red marks on my face. Well this has helped a lot! It hasn't gotten rid of them completely, but it has faded many of them! Also my skin looks a lot brighter,and my skin tone is a lot more even. My skin looks so much better, and I am so glad I gave this a chance.
For under $6, I can truly say this has improved my skin so much. It is a bit drying, but honestly I can deal with it.
I recommend trying this out if your looking for a new cleanser on a tight budget.
I have been breaking out along the sides of my face as well. :/ I'm in the process of changing my whole skin care routine to all natural cuz the drugstore stuff doesn't seem to be helping me at all. I'm glad this worked for you.

nice, i find that any face cleanser with acne treatment in it will dry my face out but i just counteract this by using a moisturizer right after cleansing and toning my face ;-)

wow only $6? usually these products makes my face pretty dry so i must use a lot of moisturizer.
ReplyDeleteOhh nice! I've actually just been through hell and back with a cleansing system that is supposedly awesome but I haven't experienced any awesomeness as of yet.. I stopped and went back to what I was using before. I was wanting to try out different neutrogena products.
ReplyDeleteAs for the drying that wouldn't bother me too much just because you can solve it with moisturizer afterwards anyways.
